Men's Golf's
Kamden Brakel has been named the Sacramento State Coach of the Year…named the Big Sky Conference Men's Golf Coach of the Year…guided the team to a nine-stroke victory at the Big Sky Championship and a berth at the NCAA Corvallis Regional…team averaged 287.58 strokes per round, which set the school record by over a half stroke…the Hornets' total of 841 (23-under) at the Big Sky Tournament broke the tournament record, and was eight strokes better than the previous school record at the tournament.

OTHER NOMINEES
Sophie Breault (Women's Tennis) - Named the Big Sky Conference Women's Tennis Coach of the Year, and the ITA Northwest Region Coach of the Year…helped lead the Hornets to their second Big Sky regular season title in the last three seasons and the program's third straight Big Sky Tournament crown…coached Sacramento State to a 19-6 overall record - its third straight season with at least 19 wins to go along with a 7-1 mark in Big Sky play…improved to 76-48 overall and 27-13 in conference play during her five seasons as the Hornets' head coach.
Melissa Genovese (Gymnastics) - Named the MPSF Coach of the Year…guided the team to its highest finish at the MPSF Championship (2nd) in a decade…the Hornets also finished with its highest end-of-year national ranking since 2018…named MPSF Coach of the Year for the second time in three seasons… had to overcome a series of injuries which led to Sacramento State using nine different starters on vault and eight on each of the other three events…all 16 healthy gymnasts were in the lineup at some point during the season.
Angela Lewis (Beach Volleyball) - Guided the Hornets to 14 victories, easily a program record (2013-pres.) surpassing the previous mark of eight, set in 2017…coached the Hornets' duo of Kate Doorn/Mia Guevara to a 20-11 doubles mark, a new program single-season record…three Sacramento State players were named all-conference in a very tough Big West Conference, comprised of Reese Ampi, Doorn and Guevara…the team ended the regular season with victories over Santa Clara and UC Davis, ending lengthy losing streaks against both schools.
Lori Perez (Softball) - Guided the Hornets to a 33-20 overall record and 9-6 mark in the Big Sky Conference…the 33 wins were the most since the 2006 season…the team's .623 winning percentage was the fourth best in the program's Div. I era (1990-pres.)…the team had a nine-game winning streak (Feb. 14-27) and lost more than two straight games just once…all six pitchers finished with records above .500…the Hornets posted top three program record marks in home runs, runs, stolen bases and slugging percentage.
Ruben Volta (Volleyball) - Led the program to 20-plus victories for the third straight season - a 20-10 overall mark and 12-4 record in the Big Sky (second place)…coached the Hornets to four Big Sky individual awards for the first time in program history - Victoria Marthaler (MVP), Kate Doorn (Setter of the Year), Reese Ampi (Libero of the Year) and Keonahi'ilani Solaita (Freshman of the Year)…the Hornets have finished no worse than 10-6 in conference each of the last six seasons.
