Keonahi'ilani Solaita has been named Sacramento State's Female Freshman of the Year…named the Big Sky Conference Freshman of the Year…became just the fourth Hornet to earn the honor…played in 28 matches, including 23 starts…a six-rotation outside hitter, Solaita started each of the final 23 matches of the season…averaged 2.06 kills, 1.81 digs, 0.30 aces and 2.46 points per set…in conference play, she lifted those numbers to 2.44 kills, 2.12 digs, 0.33 aces and 2.88 points per set…posted double figures in kills on eight occasions.

Mac Burley (Rowing) - Competed with the second varsity eight, varsity four and novice four during her first season with the Hornets…named to the For Stars Network preseason watch list…competed with the second varsity eight on six occasions, including four times in the five seat, and twice at three…rowed in the three seat with the 2V8 at the WCC Championship…competed with the varsity four on five occasions - four times in the two seat, and once in the three seat.
Sophia Lee (Golf) - Named the Big Sky Conference Freshman of the Year and was a first team all-Big Sky selection…was in the lineup in all 10 tournaments where she averaged 73.60 strokes per round…that mark ranks 13th in school single-season history and was the third best by a freshman…recorded 11 rounds of par or better, including four of her final six…tied for second place at the Causeway Invitational…best 54-hole total was 5-under par at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic…lowest round was 67 to begin the Big Sky Championship.
Cami Maldonado Gutierrez (Tennis) - Named the Big Sky Conference Freshman of the Year along with second team all-league honors in singles and honorable mention honors in doubles…became the first Hornet to be named the league's freshman of the year since 2017…ranked third on the team with 16 singles wins overall, including a 6-1 mark in Big Sky play…split time between the Nos. 3, 4 and 5 spots in the lineup…led all Hornets with 17 doubles wins at the No. 1 (3-3) and No. 3 spots in the lineup (14-2).
Merle Weber (Track & Field) - Earned all-Big Sky Conference honors during the indoor and outdoor seasons…finished in second place in the heptathlon at the Big Sky Indoor Championships and was third in the heptathlon at the Big Sky Outdoor Championships…totaled 3,684 points in the pentathlon which ranks sixth in school history…won the heptathlon at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational with 5,227 points which ranks fourth in the Sacramento State record book.
