Jamar Andrews, Jr. has been named Sacramento State's Male Freshman of the Year…was the Big Sky triple jump champion during the indoor and outdoor seasons…set the school indoor record with a best of 52-06.50…that mark topped the previous record by 15 inches…opened the outdoor season with a jump of 53-01.00 which ranks second in school history and is just a half inch behind the record…finished first in five meets and jumped at least 49-feet in six meets…qualified to compete at the NCAA West Preliminary.

Ernest Campbell (Football) - Named to the FCS Football Central Freshman All-America team…led the Hornets with 37 receptions for 755 yards and eight touchdowns…his average of 20.4 yards per reception ranks eighth in school history and was the best by a freshman…set the school record with six receptions of at least 50 yards…caught nine passes for 206 yards against Montana…caught at least one pass in every game he appeared, and had multiple receptions in eight games.
Allbranly Gue (Soccer) - Named to the Big West Conference All-Freshman team…led the Hornets in scoring with three goals and seven points in 16 matches…the midfielder made 11 starts as a freshman, and played 913 minutes…scored his first career goal in a win over Pacific, and added scores against league rivals Cal Poly and UC Davis…finished fifth on the team with 14 shot attempts, placing eight on frame.
Sam Harry (Baseball) - An all-Western Athletic Conference second team selection — the first Hornet freshman to make the all-league team since 2023…hit .317 with an .870 OPS while starting all 61 games in center field…finished with 59 runs scored, 78 hits, 19 doubles, five home runs, and 34 RBIs…ranked among the top players in the WAC in runs scored (4th), hits (4th), doubles (4th), and triples (6th).…ranked among the top players in the nation in doubles, hits and runs scored.
Freddie Healey (Tennis) - Posted a 10-7 singles record, playing at each of the first four spots in the lineup…went 1-2 at No. 1, 0-1 at No. 2, 5-4 at No. 3, and 4-0 at No. 4…played the first four matches of the season at No. 4, and the final three matches at No. 1…had a pair of three-match winning streaks…went 10-9 in dual doubles play, including a 9-5 mark at No. 2…won matches at No. 1 singles, and No. 2 doubles on final day of the regular season to help clinch Hornets a Big Sky Tournament berth.
Mark Lavrenov (Basketball) - Played in all 31 games, including 21 starts as a true freshman…averaged 9.9 points, 7.0 rebounds and 25.9 minutes per game…shot 45% (93-209) from the field, and 82% (112-136) from the free throw line…averaged 4.4 trips to the free throw line per game…scored in double figures 14 times, and posted double-digit rebounds on eight occasions…recorded six double-doubles…had 17 points and 17 rebounds (third most in Hornets' Div. I era) in a home win over Northern Colorado.
