Victoria Marthaler has been named Sacramento State's Female Newcomer of the Year…an honorable mention All-American selection by the AVCA - only the third Hornet to receive All-America honors during the Div. I era…named Big Sky Conference MVP…honorable mention all-Pacific Region selection and first team all-Big Sky…named to the all-tournament team at the Big Sky Tournament…easily led the Big Sky and ranked sixth in the nation with 4.89 kills per set…posted double-figure kills in 27 matches, including 10 with 20-plus kills, and three with 30-plus kills…553 kills are tied for fifth most in program history.

Asha Abubakari (Track & Field) - Joined the team for the outdoor season…had a season best of 162-04 in the discus at the Pacific Coast Invitational in Long Beach which placed her fifth in school history…finished in seventh place in the discus at the Big Sky Outdoor Championship…placed second at the Fresno State Invitational and was third at the Stanford Invitational and Causeway Classic Dual in the event…set her PR in the shot put of 43-10.00 at the Big Sky Outdoor Championships.
Galadriel Mellion (Track & Field) - Earned all-Big Sky Conference honors after placing second in the discus at the Big Sky Outdoor Championships…season best of 162-00 ranks sixth in school history…was the champion in both the shot put and discus at the Causeway Classic Dual…moved into ninth place in the shot put in school history during the indoor season…finished seventh in the shot put at the Big Sky Indoor Championships behind a season-best attempt of 46-05.50.
Madi Mendoza (Softball) - Named the Big Sky Conference Newcomer of the Year…one of three Hornets to start all 53 games (all those starts at shortstop)…named to Big Sky all-tournament team…hit .369 (58-for-157) with 38 runs, 14 doubles, nine homers, 30 RBIs and was 10-for-12 in stolen base attempts…finished the season on a 15-game hitting streak…defensively, her 128 assists led the Big Sky, and ranked 31st in the nation…hit .533 at the Big Sky Tourney with three homers and seven RBIs.
Natalie Picton (Basketball) - Finished second on the team in scoring at 13.4 points per game, while grabbing 3.7 rebounds and leading the team in steals with 67…a Big Sky Conference all-tournament selection, she helped lead the Hornets to a tournament semifinal berth for only the fifth time in school history…averaged 17.0 ppg and shot 42 percent from the field at the tournament…scored in double figures 22 times…her 67 steals were the most by a Hornet since Maranne Johnson had 77 in 2017-18.
