Baseball has been awarded Sacramento State's Male Team Performance of the Year…
Jakob Poturnak homered and plated two while seven different Hornet hitters drove in runs as Sacramento State picked up its first-ever win over a top ranked team with a 9-6 victory at No. 1 UCLA…the nine runs were the most allowed by the Bruins and they were defeated for just the fourth time all season (the game was played on April 26)…the nine runs were also the most UCLA allowed since a 9-5 defeat against LSU in the 2025 College World Series.

Basketball - The Hornets finished 10-4 in the brand new Hornet Pavilion, the most home wins for the program since the 2019-20 season…the average attendance of 2,758 fans per home game set a school record…that includes a crowd of 3,116 in a win over Montana on Jan. 31 - the largest crowd to see a basketball game on campus in program history (1948-pres.)…the Hornets drew crowds of 2,500+ fans in eight of the nine home conference games.
Golf - The Hornets claimed the Big Sky Conference championship with a convincing nine-stroke win…the Hornets finished the tournament at 23-under par which broke the previous school tournament record by eight strokes…Sacramento State was helped by a second round 18-under par total of 270 which set the tournament record and set the school single-round record for all tournaments…the Hornets' Jai Bahl and Gabriel Smith both had the top individual scores of the tournament.
Tennis - In the biggest match of the year, and regular season finale, Sacramento State came through with a 5-2 home win over Portland State…both the Hornets and Vikings entered the match knowing what was at stake…the winner would claim the sixth and final spot into the Big Sky Conference Tournament, while the losing team's season would come to an end…the Hornets received singles wins from Freddie Healey, Nick Bowles, Doni Gashi and David Dai to help secure the win.
Track & Field - The Hornets dominated UC Davis, 97-79, in the Causeway Classic Dual to improve to 15-4-1 all-time at the meet…the men combined to win 10 individual events, including the 100, 200, 400, 1500, 110H and 400H…Gianni Miles (100) and Nathan Rider (400) both had school top-10 performances during the meet…Brock Gross had a top two finish in both the 110-hurdles and 400-hurdles…Brandon Moreno won the 1500 by nearly three seconds…both the 4x100, and 4x400 teams were victorious.
