BASEBALL’S REGGIE CHRISTIANSEN NAMED SACRAMENTO STATE’S COACH OF THE YEAR

Baseball's Reggie Christiansen has been named the Sacramento State Coach of the Year…also named the Western Athletic Conference Coach of the Year for the third time…led the Hornets to a share of the WAC regular season title…posted 32 victories, the 12th time in the last 13 seasons the Hornets have won at least 30 games…led the Hornets to the No. 1 seed in the WAC Tournament for only the second time in school history…team won six of its eight WAC series, including back-to-back weekend series road wins at Grand Canyon and Utah Valley.

Sophie Breault (Women's Tennis)
- Helped the Hornets claim their second consecutive Big Sky Conference Tournament championship and NCAA Tournament berth…led Sacramento State to 21 wins, the most by a Hornet squad since 2008…the Hornets have now posted back-to-back 20-win seasons for the first time since 2004 and 2005…a total of six Hornets earned all-Big Sky honors, and claimed the tournament MVP award for the second straight season.

Randy Dedini (Women's Soccer) - Led the Hornets to their first Big Sky Tournament title and NCAA Tournament berth since 2010…team finished unbeaten in its final nine matches (3-0-6) heading into the NCAA Tournament…unbeaten streak was tied for the second longest in school history…nine draws set a new school single-season record…mentored five student-athletes to all-Big Sky honors, and six student-athletes to Big Sky all-tournament team accolades, including the MVP.

Aaron Kallhoff (Women's Basketball) - Guided the Hornets to 15 wins and seven Big Sky Conference victories in his second season at the helm…Hornets improved their win total by nine games from the previous season…the 15 wins were the second highest total in the last 10 seasons behind only Sacramento State's Big Sky championship and NCAA Tournament run in 2022-23… helped the team advance to the second round of the conference tournament for the second straight year…finished 9-6 at the Nest.

David Sutherland (Women's Golf) - Named the Big Sky Conference Coach of the Year for the seventh time in his career…led the team to its third consecutive Big Sky title…guided the Hornets to a top 50 national ranking during the season, and a final ranking of No. 56 nationally…the team's scoring average of 289.91 shattered the previous mark of 291.23…the Hornets had 12 rounds of even par or better, and finished in the top four in seven of the 10 regular season tournaments.

Ruben Volta (Volleyball) - Led the Hornets to their first Big Sky Conference Tournament championship since the 2007 season…the team finished 21-12 overall, 11-5 in the Big Sky, and 12-2 at home…the Hornets were 3-0 at the three-day Big Sky Tourney, dropping just three sets over that span…Sacramento State also made its first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 2007…the Hornets never lost more than two straight matches all year…two first team all-Big Sky selections (Bridgette Smith, Caitlin Volkmann).
