Zoe Ewell is recipient of Sacramento State's Female Individual Performance of the Year…won the individual title in the women's 60-meter dash at the Big Sky Indoor Championships in Flagstaff, Ariz…the senior ran 7.39 in the finals to edge teammate
Jessi Barry for the top spot and set the Sacramento State school record in the process…Ewell beat the previous school record of 7.52 seconds when she ran 7.43 in the qualifying round…that record lasted one day until she topped it in the final…she also competed at the Big Sky Indoor Championships in the 200.

Alexa Carino (Softball) - The freshman led the Hornets to a three-game road sweep of Montana, which clinched the No. 2 seed at the Big Sky Tournament…homered in all three games, finishing the series 7-for-12 with six runs, four homers, nine RBIs and a 1.462 slugging percentage…had multiple hits in all three games…one of those homers was an inside the park grand slam in the opening game at Montana, becoming the first player in program history to accomplish the feat.
Fatoumata Jaiteh (Basketball) - Scored a career-high 28 points, hit 6-of-7 from the field, and finished 16-of-19 from the free throw line in an overtime road win at Portland State…24 of those 28 points came in the second half or overtime, including 13 in the fourth quarter and 6-of-6 from the line in OT…her 16 makes at the line were the most by a Hornet since 1993, and two shy of the school single-game record…started 6-for-6 from the floor before missing for the first time in OT.
Caitlin Maurice (Golf) - Set the Sacramento State single-round record with a bogey-free 65 during the first round of the Golfweek Red Sky Classic in Colorado…Maurice was flawless in her first round of the season, recording five birdies and an eagle…her score was 1 stroke better than her previous best which had her tied for the school record of 66…she finished in third place at the tournament with a season-best 54-hole total of 65-70-73-208.
Bridgette Smith (Volleyball) - Named the Big Sky Conference Tournament MVP after leading the Hornets to the tourney title and berth to the NCAA Tournament…in the Hornets' 3-2 win in the championship match vs. Northern Colorado, she posted a career-high 30 kills…also had a .464 hitting percentage with four aces and 13 digs…the 30 kills were three more than her previous career best…Smith served five straight points to give the Hornets a 5-0 lead to open the fifth and final set.
Benthe Versteeg (Basketball) - Posted what is believed to be the first triple-double in program history with 14 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists at Montana on Feb. 27…played all 40 minutes, making 7-of-12 from the field and setting a new career high with her rebound total…the 10 assists were her third double-digit total of the year…the feat came just five days after narrowly missing a triple-double at home against Idaho State by a single assist.
