Women's Tennis' Weronika Ejsmont has been named Sacramento State's Female Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year…given to the Hornet student-athlete that has the highest cumulative grade point average among all females who are a senior athletically…graduated last month with a 4.0 GPA and a kinesiology degree…a key member of the women's tennis program's return to prominence, Ejsmont helped the Hornets to back-to-back Big Sky Tournament crowns and NCAA Tournament appearances…has earned ITA Scholar-Athlete and Big Sky All-Academic honors every year of her career…primarily a doubles specialist, she finished her career with 30 career doubles victories, including 16 of those at the No. 1 spot in the lineup…finished with a career-best 11 doubles wins as a junior during the Hornets' championship run - 10 of those coming at the top spot in the lineup…also won 10 doubles matches as a sophomore in 2023, splitting time between the top two spots in the lineup.
