Football and Women's Basketball are the co-winners of Sacramento State's Team of the Year award.
Football - Recorded the first undefeated regular season in school history and ended the year with a 12-1 overall record…the Hornets were 11-0 in the regular season and were ranked in the FCS top 10 each week…Sacramento State earned its first FCS Playoff victory with a win over Richmond…along with setting the school record for wins in a season, the team also set program records for single-season rushing yards (3,163), points scored (558) and touchdowns (71).
Women's Basketball - The Hornets clinched their first-ever Big Sky Conference regular season crown, first-ever Big Sky Conference Tournament title, and made its inaugural NCAA Tournament appearance following a 25-8 season…Sacramento State capped a historic season with a No. 22 national ranking in the final College Insider Mid-Major poll on April 4…the 25-8 record marked the first-ever 20-win season for the Hornets…in addition, the team's 13 conference wins are the most for the program since 2015.

OTHER NOMINEES
Softball - Won the Big Sky Conference co-regular season championship…that marked the program's first conference crown since the 2018 season…the Hornets finished the season 27-20 overall, and 10-5 in the Big Sky…that included a perfect 6-0 road record against Big Sky competition…led by Big Sky Pitcher of the Year Marissa Bertuccio, the pitching staff was brilliant, recording a 2.72 team ERA with a 2.8-to-1 strikeout to walk ratio…the offense hit .291 with a .366 on-base percentage, and five regulars hit better than .320.
Women's Golf - Had their most successful season in the program's Div. I era…the Hornets won five tournaments during the year…that streak included four consecutive wins to end the regular season…the team averaged 291.23 strokes per round which was more than two strokes better than the previous school record…three of the top six 54-hole totals came during the season…four of the top 10 team single-round totals also came during the year…following the season, four Hornets were named first team all-Big Sky.
