Ella Kraft has been named the Sacramento State Female Newcomer of the Year. The Uppsalla, Sweden, native was named the Big Sky Conference Freshman of the Year and was a first team all-league selection…finished the season with 13 rounds at, or below par, which tied the school single-season record…averaged 73.65 in 31 rounds which ranks 11th in school history and the third lowest by a Hornet freshman…began her career by tying for third place at the Coeur d'Alene Collegiate with rounds of 71-71-69-211…also shot 69 at the Evie Odom Invitational and Riverside Classic.

Ava Fitzgerald (Track & Field) - Advanced to the NCAA West First Round in the 100-hurdles…ran 13.74 in her heat which is the fastest time posted by a Sacramento State freshman and tied her for sixth in school history…earned all-Big Sky honors after placing second in the 100H at the conference meet…ran sub-14 seconds in her final four races of the season…finished first at the Causeway Classic Dual…ran the opening leg of the 4x100 relay which placed third at the Big Sky Championship…ran 8.50 in the 60-hurdles to place second at the Big Sky Indoors (fifth best in school history).
Sarah Lutrel (Gymnastics) - Named first team all-MPSF as an all-arounder…earned three MPSF Freshman of the Week awards…claimed at least a share of first place on vault and beam twice, bars once, and in the all-around two times…ranked second on the team with an average of 9.703 on vault and tied for second with an NQS of 9.740…also finished the season with averages of 9.636 on bars, 9.644 on beam, 9.682 on floor and 38.600 in the all-around…had a season-high 39.150 in the all-around vs. Alaska Anchorage.
Katie Marsh (Softball) - An honorable mention all-conference selection as a true freshman…played in 41 games, including 36 starts (32 at catcher, four at designated player)…led all Hornet regulars with a .330 batting average (34-for-103) with 21 runs, eight doubles, one triple, one homer, 16 RBIs, 12 walks, a .405 on-base percentage, and .840 ops…tied for third on the team with five stolen bases…had a streak of 11 straight games reaching base safely…went 4-for-4 on Feb. 26 at Santa Clara, tying for most hits (single game) in the program's Div. I era.
Harper Waring (Rowing) - Competed with the Hornets' top boat (Varsity Eight) as a true freshman in all nine spring races…first three races came in the six seat, before she sat at stroke in the final six races…stroked the varsity eight to a bronze medal at the WIRA Championship…sat at six when the varsity eight beat Kansas State by over six seconds at the Hornet Invite…stroked the varsity eight as a freshman at the American Athletic Conference Championship.
