Football has been awarded Sacramento State's Male Team Performance of the Year…the Hornets dominated Colorado State for the third win over an FBS opponent in program history…Sacramento State never trailed in the game and won, 41-10, over the Mountain West Conference foe…the Hornets outgained the Rams, 395-253, and picked up 25 first downs while holding CSU to only 10…after the Rams kicked a field goal to cut their deficit to 7-3, the Hornets answered with a touchdown on the next drive and led by double figures the remainder of the contest.

Baseball - The Hornet offense exploded early and scored often against 9th-ranked Stanford, and then received some clutch performances from the bullpen to hold off the hard-charging Cardinal for a 15-13 upset win at Sunken Diamond…the 15 runs were the most by Sacramento State in the history of the series…eight of the nine Hornet starters finished with hits as Sacramento State scored all the runs it would need in the first four innings - including a seven-run second that featured a JP Smith grand slam.

Baseball - With history on the line, the Sacramento State baseball team came up clutch, winning its final five games of the regular season to finish the year 30-26 overall and clinch its 11th consecutive 30-win season…the Hornets continued a run that has seen the team post 30 or more wins each of the last 11 years (excluding the pandemic-shortened 2020 campaign) – the only Div. I school in the state of California to accomplish the feat.

Men's Soccer - Following a season-opening defeat to the 3rd-ranked team in the nation, the Hornets were nearly unbeatable, going 5-0-2 over their next seven matches heading into its non-conference finale…that run lifted the Hornets into the national spotlight as Sacramento State received votes in the Sept. 20 United Soccer Coaches poll for the first time since 2011…it marked the seventh time the Hornets had been listed in the poll dating back to 1996.
