Austin Wehner has been named Sacramento State's Male Newcomer of the Year. This award goes to the top male transfer at Sacramento State. A local product from Roseville, Wehner started 18 matches and finished the year with four goals and three assists for 11 points – tied for second on the team in scoring…named third team all-West Region and first team all-Big West Conference…became just the sixth Hornet to earn all-region honors during the Div. I era (1991-pres.), and first since 2017…became just the fifth first team all-Big West selection in the history of the program…finished the regular season tied for second in the conference in goals in conference matches, tied for sixth in assists, and tied for third in points.

Cal McGough (Football) - A third team all-Big Sky Conference selection…averaged 40.9 yards per punt…landed 13 of his 29 punts inside the opponent 20-yard line…his only touchback of the season came in the opening game of the year…boomed a season-best 55-yard punt against Richmond in the second round of the FCS Playoffs…had a 50-yard punt at Weber State…biggest play of the year may have come in the Causeway Classic against UC Davis when he rushed for 20 yards on a fake punt on 4th-and-11.
Callum McRae (Men's Basketball) - A third team all-Big Sky Conference selection…one of two Hornets to start all 32 games…averaged 12.9 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.9 blocks and 28.7 minutes per game…shot 54% (172-318) from the field, and 71% (68-96) from the free throw line…the rebounding average was the 29th best mark in the country…set the Sacramento State Div. I-era record with 10 double-doubles…team-high 23 games scoring in double figures, and team-best 13 with double digits in rebounds.
Caleb Nelson (Football) - A second team all-Big Sky Conference selection…played in all 13 games at cornerback, starting 12…tallied 37 total tackles, including 29 for loss…returned an interception 98 yards for a touchdown in the season opener…led the team with 12 pass breakups…recorded at least one tackle in each game he played, and had five games with four-plus tackles…blocked a field goal attempt in the nationally televised victory against Montana…season-high five tackles against two different opponents.
