The Sacramento State Women's Academic Team of the Year award goes to the tennis program…the award is given to the women's team that posts the highest grade point average during the 2023-24 academic year…women's tennis registered a 3.661 GPA during the academic year, finishing just ahead of volleyball (3.653)…the GPA was also the highest mark of any team (male or female) on campus…of the eight players on the team's roster, six have a GPA better than a 3.80…the team also won the Big Sky's regular season and tournament championships while qualifying for the NCAA Tournament…it should be noted that every Sacramento State women's program posted better than a 3.0 GPA during the academic year.
