SACRAMENTO -- Sacramento State head coach Mike Bibby announced the signing of 6-10, 240-pound forward Saša Ciani, who will transfer from Penn State.

A native of Slovenia, Ciani is the Hornets' 11th and final signee for the 2026-27 season. He joins the following players who have signed with Sacramento State:

• A 6-10, 240-pound forward from Nova Gorica, Slovenia
• Will be a senior with the Hornets
• Played his junior season (2025-26) at Penn State of the Big Ten Conference
• Played his sophomore season (2024-25) at UIC of the Missouri Valley Conference
• Played as a freshman (2023-24) at Xavier of the Big East Conference
• Played at least 27 games for all three teams, including 28 games (four starts) last year at Penn State
• Averaged 2.1 points, 1.9 rebounds and 10.0 minutes per game at Penn State
• Played in 27 games (21 starts) at UIC, averaging 9.9 points and 7.6 rebounds while shooting 53 percent from the field
• Tallied eight double-doubles for the Flames, and his 7.6 rebounds ranked second in the MVC
• As a freshman, he played in 31 games (five starts) at Xavier, averaging 2.5 points and 2.9 rebounds
• Played the 2022-23 season for KK Cedevita Olimpija in ABA League First Division in Slovenia
• Represented Slovenia at the U20 European Championships in 2022 (12.4 ppg, 8.6 rpg in seven games) and 2023 (12.0 ppg, 8.6 rpg in seven games)
• Played two games for the Slovenian National Team at the 2023 FIBA World Cup European qualifier, averaging 7.5 points and 4.5 rebounds
• One of his teammates on that 2023 Slovenian National Team was NBA All-Star Luka Doncic
