GREELEY, Colo. — Sacramento State's
Eliana Coburn earned all-conference honors after finishing second in the heptathlon on Thursday at the Big Sky Championships. Coburn totaled 4,945 points which moved her into eighth place in school history and topped her previous high by 48 points.
A day after setting career highs in all four events, the sophomore started Thursday with a long jump of 17-03.25 on her first attempt. That effort was 1.25 inches longer than her previous career best. Coburn added a javelin throw of 110-09 and then finished with a season best time of 2:32.10 in the 800.
Her point total left her 165 points behind Idaho State's Kylee Dimick for the top spot at the meet. Montana's Morgan Radtke was third with 4,866 points to complete the trio which earned all-Big Sky honors.
Idaho State and Montana each picked up 13 points towards the women's team total with multiple student-athletes finishing in the top eight. The Hornets are third with eight points from Coburn.
The main program of the meet will start on Friday with the men's hammer at 9 a.m. PT. The first running event will be the women's steeplechase at 12 p.m. PT and the day will wrap up with the men's 10K at 5:35 p.m. PT. The meet will continue on Saturday starting with the women's hammer throw at 8:30 a.m. PT. The final two events will be the women's and men's 4x400 relays which will take place after all other events are finished. Estimated start time for the relays is 4:50 p.m. PT.
Sacramento State will be represented by 25 women and 15 men at the meet. The women have 37 individual event entries among their contingent. Coburn,

Abby Meder and
Abby Sheets are each entered in three individual events.
John Gibbs will have the busiest weekend for the men as he will take part in the high jump, pole vault, long jump and triple jump.
