SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento State track and field teams will host the second of three home meets this season with the Sacramento State Invitational on Saturday at Hornet Stadium. The meet begins with the men's javelin at 9 a.m. and has running events starting at noon. The final event is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
Sacramento State previously hosted the Hornet Invitational on Mar. 15-16. The remaining home meet will come on Apr. 26 against UC Davis in the annual Causeway Classic Dual.
This week's meet will be made up of four-year institutions and junior colleges throughout Northern California. Sacramento State is expected to compete the majority of its roster with 36 women and 31 entered in the meet.
Four weeks into the outdoor season, the Hornets are well represented among the top eight in each event in the Big Sky Conference:
