MORAGA, Calif. -- Sacramento State played a pair of matches in Moraga, and dropped both to Saint Mary's and San Jose State by 4-1 scores.

The Hornets have just two matches remaining on the regular season schedule, and both of those will come on Saturday in Stockton against Santa Clara and UC Davis.

Sacramento State got both its wins today from the No. 2 duo of Caitlin Volkmann and Ellie Tisko. They won both matches in straight sets, including a 23-21, 21-17 victory against Saint Mary's, and 23-21, 21-15 against San Jose State. They are now 6-4 this season at the No. 2 spot in the lineup. That includes three straight wins.

The Hornets used the same lineup in both matches - Kalani Hayes/Bridgette Smith at No. 1, Volkmann/Tisko at No. 2, Greta Davis/Tiyanane Kamba-Griffin at No. 3, Ashlynn Archer/Carrie Crom at No. 4, and Caty Cordano/Hailey Plugge at No. 5.

On Saturday in Stockton, the Hornets will play Santa Clara at 11 a.m., and UC Davis at 1 p.m.
