2024 Beach Season
Played in all 28 matches during the season…that included nine matches at No. 4 in the lineup, and 19 at No. 5…played with four different partners (Kadillak, Doorn, Plugge, Smith)…primarily played with Abbey Kadillak where the duo played 15 times together…won her first three matches of the season with Doorn…played with Smith at No. 5 during the Big West Tournament…a Big West all-academic selection for the fourth straight season.
2023 Beach Season
Played in all 23 matches…that includes six times at No. 3, and 17 times at No. 4…played 15 times with Carrie Crom, six with Greta Davis, and two with Mia Guevara…Kamba-Griffin and Crom beat Pacific on three different occasions…a Big West all-academic selection for the third straight season.
2022 Beach Season
Played in 15 of the team’s 23 beach matches…made appearances at Nos. 3, 4 and 5 in the Hornet lineup…played with five different teammates during the season, primarily with Ashtin Olin and Ellie Tisko…a Big West all-academic selection for the second straight season.
2021 Beach Season
Played in seven of the Hornets’ nine beach matches…that included one appearance at No. 4 in the lineup, and six appearances at No. 5…all seven matches were played with teammate Paige Calvin…the first four matches the tandem played together lasted three sets…the fifth match resulted in a 23-21, 21-19 outcome…a Big West all-academic selection.
2020 Beach Season
Played in an exhibition preseason pairs tournament…did not play in a regular season match.
High School
A 2019 graduate of Davis Senior High School in Davis, Calif…played three years of volleyball for the Blue Devils…also competed for two years in track and field as a high jumper…in volleyball, she played on the varsity squad as a junior and senior, and was a first team all-Delta League selection each of those seasons…during her final two years, she combined for 279 kills, 127 blocks, 38 aces and a .353 hitting percentage…as a senior, she averaged 2.3 kills and 1.0 blocks per set while hitting .352…posted 16 kills and 10 blocks against Pleasant Grove HS as a senior…set the Davis HS school record in the high jump, clearing a mark of 5-06…that mark ranked 12th best in the state…placed first in the high jump while matching her PR at the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Master’s meet.
Personal
Daughter of Clarence Griffin and Sandra Kamba…a biology major, Kamba-Griffin graduated in the spring of 2024…played for Five Starz Volleyball Club and former Sacramento State head coach Debby Colberg…on that team, she played with Hornet teammate Caty Cordano.
