2025 Beach Season
• A second team all-Big West Conference selection
• Three-time all-league recipient during her career (honorable mention in 2022 and 2023)
• Played in all 26 matches (25 at the No. 1 spot in the lineup) with partner Caitlin Volkmann
• Went 13-13, including a 12-13 mark at No. 1, and 1-0 mark at No. 2
• Of their 26 matches, seven came against nationally ranked opponents
• Posted wins against opponents from Oregon, Portland, San Francisco, Pacific, UTEP, CSU Bakersfield, CSUN, UC Davis, Santa Clara and Saint Mary’s
• Won five times over a six-match stretch from March 21-April 17
• Finished with 32 career victories, the third most in program history
• Would have posted more wins, but missed nearly the entire 2024 season with injury
• Spent the majority of her career at No. 1 in the team’s lineup
• A Big West all-academic selection for the third time
2024 Beach Season
• Missed the majority of the season with injury
• Came back to play the final two matches of the season
• Both of those contests came with Tiyanane Kamba-Griffin at the No. 5 spot at the Big West Conference Tournament
2023 Beach Season
• An honorable mention all-Big West Conference selection after playing in 22 of the Hornets’ 23 matches at the No. 1 spot in the team’s lineup
• Named all-conference for the second straight year
• Played all 22 of those matches with teammate Kalani Hayes
• The duo complied nine wins, which included victories over teams from UC Davis, Santa Clara, Pacific, San Francisco, CSU Bakersfield and Liberty
• Of those nine wins, six came in straight sets
• The nine victories are the third most by a doubles team in program single-season history
• In addition, the nine wins are the most ever posted by a No. 1 Hornet doubles team
• Started the season by winning each of their first four matches
• A Big West all-academic selection for the second straight season
2022 Beach Season
• An honorable mention all-Big West Conference selection in her first active season with the beach program
• Won a program-record tying 10 matches
• That includes a 6-7 record at No. 1, and 4-6 at No. 2
• Played in all 23 matches with teammate and fellow freshman Caitlin Volkmann
• Won four of their final five matches of the season, including a three-set win at the Big West Championship over CSUN
• After playing each of their first 10 matches of the season at No. 2, the tandem played at No. 1 the final 13 matches
• Beat teams from Pacific (twice), San Francisco (four times), CSU Bakersfield, San Jose State, UC Davis and CSUN
• A Big West all-academic selection
2021 Beach Season
• Did not play during the season, opting to take a redshirt
High School
• A 2020 graduate of Sprague High School in Salem, Ore.
• Played four years of volleyball for the Olympians, including her final three seasons on the varsity squad
• Named first team all-Mountain Valley Conference and first team all-Mid Valley each of those three seasons on varsity
• As a senior, Smith was named second team all-state, Mountain Valley Conference Player of the Year, Statesmen Journal all-Mid Valley Player of the Year, and Salem Sports and Breakfast Club Player of the Year after finishing with 509 kills, 295 digs and 67 aces
• As the team’s starting outside hitter from 2017-19, she helped Sprague to three straight conference championships, a 63-20 combined overall record, 40-4 league mark, and an appearance in the 2018 state championship game
• Was named first team all-state tournament in 2018 after Sprague’s run to the title match
• During her three varsity seasons, she combined for 1,175 kills, 1,063 digs and 178 aces
• Smith is the school’s all-time leader in career kills and aces, and ranks second in digs
• Named all-academic all four years of high school
Personal
• Parents are Sean and Gina Smith
• A biology major who graduated in the spring of 2025
• Played from 2015-20 for the North Pacific Juniors Volleyball Club in Salem, Ore
• Sister, Delaney Smith, was a middle blocker at Western Oregon
