Biography

2025 Beach Season
• Appeared in nine matches during the season
• Played seven times with partner Reese Ampi at No. 5, and twice with Abbey Kadillak at No. 5
• Posted three victories with Ampi, including a win at Saint Mary’s, and two victories vs. Pacific
• Plugge/Ampi went 3-4, but of those four losses, three came against nationally ranked opponents

2024 Beach Season
• Played in all 28 matches in her second season with the Hornets
• That included 20 matches at No. 4, and eight matches at No. 5
• Played 27 of those contests with Ashlynn Archer, and once with Tiyanane Kamba-Griffin
• Went 6-2 at No. 5 with Archer
• Started the season 5-1 with Archer, including a pair of wins over Portland
• Won the one match she played with Kamba-Griffin (victory vs. Pacific)
• A Big West all-academic selection.

2023 Beach Season
• Played in 20 matches in her first season with the Hornets
• Was a midyear transfer and joined the Hornets just before the beach season began
• All 20 of those matches came with Caty Cordano where the duo went 8-12
• The eight victories with Cordano are tied for the fourth most single-season wins by a doubles team in Sacramento State history
• Plugge and Cordano defeated a duo from CSUN in three sets at the Big West Tournament

Prior to Sacramento State
• Played the past three seasons (2020-22) at Wichita State of the American Athletic Conference. The 2020 season was shortened and played during the spring of 2021 because of the pandemic
• Helped the Shockers to a combined 37-23 overall record, and 26-13 in the American over the last two years. That included an appearance in the NIVC this past fall
• Was the back-up to all-conference setter Kayce Litzau during each of her three seasons
• In 10 career matches (14 sets), Plugge averaged 3.00 assists and 1.21 digs per set
• Last season, she played in six matches, registering 23 assists and four digs
• Had a season-high six assists against nationally ranked Houston
• An American all-academic selection and AD Honor Roll recipient in 2021

High School
• A 2020 graduate of Frontier High School in Bakersfield, Calif.
• Frontier High School's Female Athlete of the Year as a senior, and selected to play in the District All Star Volleyball Game
• Three-year starter, and two-time team captain
• A three-year all-league selection, two-time all-area and the league's Offensive Rookie of the Year
• Finished high school career with 1,552 assists, 511 digs, 356 kills and a .357 hitting percentage
• Also competed in track and field her final three years of high school, and ranks in Frontier's top four all-time in both the 100 and 200
• Finished high school with a 4.5 grade point average

Personal
• A biology major who graduated in the spring of 2025
• Both mother (Jenny Plugge - softball) and father (Matthew Plugge - baseball) were Div. I athletes at Loyola Marymount. Aunt, Tracy Ayres, played volleyball at Pacific
