SACRAMENTO -- Sacramento State won four of the five doubles matches in straight sets on the way to a 5-0 sweep of Pacific on Saturday morning at Hornet Beach.
The Hornets have now won three straight to improve to 3-2. Today marked the home opener, and Sacramento State's three victories are already two shy of the team's win total from all of last year. Today marked the second time in eight days the Hornets have defeated Pacific. Both of those wins sandwiched a 3-2 victory over San Francisco.
The three-match winning streak against Div. I opposition is the longest for the Hornets since the 2017 team won four straight.

Bridgette Smith remained undefeated this season (5-0) after winning by a 21-18, 21-12 score. At No. 2,

Greta Davis were victorious, 17-21, 21-18, 15-6.
Ellie Tisko and
Ashlynn Archer won at No. 3 by a 21-15, 21-18 score, and
Tiyanane Kamba-Griffin/
Carrie Crom were victorious at No. 4 by a 21-13, 21-12 score.
The No. 5 team of
Caty Cordano and
Hailey Plugge improved to 4-1 this season with a 21-6, 21-19 win.
Sacramento State is back in action for the Big West Challenge which takes place in San Luis Obispo on March 25-26. The Hornets will play six times over two days against other teams from the Big West Conference.
