WALNUT, Calif. — Sacramento State closed out the Mt. SAC Relays with student-athletes competing in the men's and women's hammer as well as the 800 Invitational on Saturday.
The Hornets opened the morning with two women's hammer throwers setting career bests.
Abby Meder led the team with a throw of 166-09 on her second of three throws in the event. Meder's distance was 3-feet, 10-inches beyond her previous best which came a few weeks back at the Jack Albiani Classic in Modesto, Calif.
Freshman

The team's final competitor over the weekend was senior

It is also the secod fastest in the Big Sky this season. The three athletes ranked ahead of her in Sacramento State history all advanced to the NCAA Championships, including record-holder Lea Wallace and Renisha Robinson who were each All-Americans.
Sacramento State's next scheduled meet will be on Friday, Apr. 28, in Davis, Calif., for the annual Causeway Classic Dual against the Aggies.
