SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Sacramento State opened a weekend trip to Colorado with a Friday night matchup against Air Force in Colorado Springs. The Hornets started the trip with a loss, falling to the Falcons, 4-0.

With the loss, Sacramento State is now 1-9 overall while Air Force improves to 10-4. 

The Hornets will follow up Friday night's action immediately with a Saturday contest against Big Sky for Northern Colorado. It will be the first conference match of the year for the Hornets and the second for the BEars (2-8 overall, 0-1 Big Sky). 

On Friday, the pair of Ege Tomey and Tsveti Yotovoa picked up a win in doubles play before Air Force clinched the first point with wins at doubles numbers one and three. From there, Air Force swept the Hornets with singles wins at one, three, and five. Playing to clinch, the remaining three singles matches were left unfinished.
