Biography

SENIOR (2021): Appeared in two matches before opting out of the season due to COVID-19...Was 0-2 in singles play, both at number two singles...Was 1-1 in doubles, winning at number two and losing at number three. 

R. SENIOR (2020): Appeared in all 11 of Sacramento State's 20202 spring matches in her debut season...Was one of just three players to see action in all 11 matches...Finished 3-6 overall in her 11 matches and 1-0 in Big Sky action...Played her first six singles matches at the No. 3 position where she went 0-5...Played her final five matches at the No. 2 position, posting a very strong 3-1 record...Tomey clinched Sacramento State's first win of the season with a 6-4, 6-4 win at the No. 2 singles position against Nevada...Also won her lone Big Sky match in three sets against Northern Colorado's No. 2...In doubles play, finished 2-8 while playing in all 11 doubles matches...Started at No. 3 doubles three times before starting the next eight at No. 2 doubles...Played with just two different partners all season, going 2-5 with Tsveti Yotova and 0-3 with Grace Dodd. 

WASHINGTON STATE (2016-19): Played three seasons at Washington State University...As a junior (2018-19), went 4-4 in singles play and 6-1 in doubles...did not compete in a dual match...reached semifinals of Cougar Classic, falling to eventual champion and teammate Melisa Ates...reached consolation final at Long Beach Invitational, going 2-2 at event...captured Long Beach Invitational doubles title with Melisa Ates, going 3-0 on weekend...also went 1-1 with Aneta Miksovska and 2-0 with Jovana Knezevic...As a sophomore (2018-18), posted an 8-3 singles record, 2-0 in dual matches...had dual match wins over Montana and Montana State...went 6-3 in tournament play...posted a 4-2 singles record in the fall season... reached final round of No. 4 singles at UNLV Fall Invitational... won title in Wildcat Invitational at No. 3 singles... posted an 8-3 singles record, 2-0 in dual matches in the spring season....Posted a 15-3 singles record and 6-12 doubles mark in her freshman year (2016-17)...went 7-8 in dual matches all at No. 6...had clinching win in victory at Indiana...won her first nine matches to open the spring season...in singles play, advanced to the semifinals at the Cougar Classic and UNLV Invitational…in doubles play, advanced to the semifinals paired with Lejla Colic at the Cougar Classic. 

JUNIOR CAREER
Led her high school to two gold medals in Turkey...represented Turkey’s national team in U12, U14, and U16...captured the U12 and U14 national singles and doubles titles...reached No. 39 in Tennis Europe for U14, No.85 in U16 and No.304 for the ITF...achieved world ranking in both singles and doubles.
