MARICOPA, Ariz. — The Sacramento State women's golf team recorded the second-best round at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic on Wednesday as the Hornets were 7-under par. That effort allowed the team to place third out of 20 teams at the tournament.

Ella Kraft had the low score on the team, shooting 4-under in the round.
Sophia Lee added a 2-under par round of 72 while
Darla May Dela Torre shot 71.
Jocelyn Tseng finished even to complete the team total. The team's third-round total matched its low of the year while the three-round score of 861 was the best for Sacramento State this season, topping the previous low of 867.

Kraft had a quick start to her round as she birdied her second hole and eventually stood at 5-under with birdies on Nos. 6, 7, 9 and 14. Her only bogey of the round came on the par-4 15
th before she finished with four pars. The senior finished the tournament at 4-under par to tie for 10
th place.

Lee posted the best finish on the team, tying for eighth place with three under-par rounds (71-70-70-211). Her 54-hole total set a season-best while she recorded her second top-10 finish this spring. Lee birdied her first two holes (Nos. 2 and 3) and moved to 3-under with a birdie on the par-5 seventh. Lee's lone bogey came on the par-4 10
th and was trailed by nine pars.

Dela Torre had her best tournament of the spring, totaling 75-74-71-220. On Wednesday, Dela Torre was 1-over through her first 11 holes. Her first birdie came on the par-4 14
th but was followed by a bogey on the par-4 15
th. She returned to even with a birdie on the par-5 16
th and moved to 1-under with a birdie on the par-4 first.

Tseng was never over par during her round, beginning with birdies on Nos. 3 and 4. She fell back to even with bogeys on Nos. 5 and 7 and remained there until a birdie on the par-4 10
th. Tseng played her final nine holes at 1-over with eight pars and a bogey on the par -5 13
th.
