LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. — Moving day came on Tuesday during the second round of the Big Sky Women's Golf Championship but Sacramento State was unable to free itself from fourth place. The Hornets were led by a 1-over 72 from
Tova Hatton but shot 302 as a team to finish the round at 18-over.

The Hornets, who are three-time defending champions and winners of five of the past six conference titles, will enter the final round 24-strokes back of Northern Arizona for first place. The crowded leaderboard after the first round has appeared to turn into a two-team race as NAU is 3-under and five shots clear of Northern Colorado. Montana State is third at 15-over.

Hatton bounced back to form on Tuesday with a 72. The sophomore was 3-over on the front nine with a birdie on the par-3 fourth and four bogeys. She parred the first six holes on the back nine before birdies on the par-4 16
th and par-5 18
th took her to 1-over.

Sophia Lee followed on opening round 67 with a 76 and is tied for seventh place. Lee, who was bogey free on Monday, finished the day with 13 pars and five bogeys.

Darla May Dela Torre and
Jocelyn Tseng each shot 77 to complete the team total. Dela Torre had a birdie, three bogeys and a quadruple bogey. Tseng had two birdies, six bogeys and a double bogey in her round.

Northern Arizona's Nina Lukyanenko has recorded rounds of 68-70-138 and leads Northern Colorado's Jaci Hartman by two strokes. Overall, nine golfers are within five strokes of the lead with one round to play.

Sacramento State will again be in the third wave of tee times for the third round. The team will get underway at 7:50 a.m. and be paired with Idaho and Portland State. Â Â
