LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. — The Sacramento State freshmen took center stage for the Hornet women's golf team during the final round of Big Sky Championship on Wednesday as
Jocelyn Tseng led the team with a 70 and
Sophia Lee added a 73.

Sacramento State finished the tournament in fifth place with a total of 287-302-294-883. Northern Arizona maintained its lead to claim the automatic berth to an NCAA Regional as the Lumberjacks totaled 282-283-282-847. That score provided a five-shot cushion over Northern Colorado.

Tseng helped the Hornets to a quick start to the day as the team was 5-under through the first four holes. The freshman birdied the par-3 second but made the turn at 1-over after a double bogey on the par-4 seventh. Tseng bogeyed the par-4 11
th but worked her way back to even with birdies on Nos. 12 and 13. A bogey on the par-4 14
th took her to 1-over but she finished the tournament with birdies on the par-4 16
th and par-5 18
th to get to 1-under. Tseng tied for 20
th at 75-77-70-222.

Lee recorded the best finish on the team as she tied for ninth with rounds of 67-76-73-126 to close at 3-over. Lee was 1-under through five holes with a birdie on the par-5 third before bogeys on Nos. 6-9. She parred the first eight holes on the back nine and ended with a birdie on No. 18.

Tova Hatton ranked third on the team with a 75 and tied for 30
th place overall. Hatton was even on the front side with birdies on Nos. 1 and 4 and bogeys on Nos. 5 and 9. She moved to 1-under with a birdie on the par-5 10
th but found herself 5-over through 17 with three bogeys and a triple bogey. The sophomore birdied No. 18 to finish the day at 4-over.

Darla May Dela Torre tied for 22
nd overall with rounds of 70-77-76-223. The sophomore's third round was comprised of two birdies, five bogeys and a double bogey.

Montana State's Norah Seidl defeated NAU's Lizzy Neale on the first hole of a playoff to become the medalist and earn a spot at an NCAA Regional. The pair both were both 5-under over the three rounds. Neale forced the playoff after shooting 65 in the final round compared to a 67 from Seidl.

Senior
Ella Kraft likely played her final round as a Hornet during the day. Kraft will depart Sacramento State as the all-time leader in career rounds (127), rounds at or below par (48) and rounds in the 60s (16). She is also four with a career scoring average of 73.67, tied for fifth with 18 career top-20 finishes and tied for seventh with 10 career top-10s.
