Tova Hatton and
Zach Mate were respectively named the Big Sky Women's and Men's Golfers of the Week, it was announced on Wednesday.

Hatton earned her first collegiate victory, tying for medalist at the Juli Inkster Invitational at TPC Harding Park. The sophomore shot 68-72-73-213 to finish at 3-under par and erase a two-stroke deficit entering the final round. Hatton recorded 10 birdies and had just seven bogeys over the three rounds despite playing in tough conditions. Hatton tied for the lowest score on par 3s, playing them at 1-under over the three rounds. She also tied for sixth in the field at 2-over on the par 4s.

Mate had the highest finish for Sacramento State at the Bandon Dunes Championship as he tied for 10th. Mate totaled 68-71-71-210 to finish at 3-under par on the par-71 course. He was bogey-free in the opening round, finishing with three birdies and 15 pars. He concluded the tournament with 11 birdies, six bogeys and a double bogey. The senior led all players in the field by playing the par 5s at 8-under in the three rounds.

The Hornet women will next play at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational in Hawaii beginning on Tuesdsay. The men will compete at the SeattleU Redhawks Invitational at Chambers Bay GC starting on March 30.
