SACRAMENTO, Calif. — With just one weekend of competition remaining before the Big Sky Indoor Championships, the Sacramento State track and field teams will split up for a pair of meets in search of bettering their standings. The team's distance runners and throwers will return to Seattle for the Husky Classic while the sprinters and jumpers will travel to Albuquerque for the Don Kirby Elite. Both meets will be held over Friday and Saturday.

The Hornets most recently competed at the Wolf Pack Classic & Combined in Reno, Nev., last weekend. The performances included wins from Brock Gross in the heptathlon, Tim Edwards, Jr., in the 400 and Ava Fitzgerald in the 60-hurdles. Sacramento State athletes combined to record nine school top 10 marks over the three days.
