FARMINGTON, Utah — Sacramento State's Sneha Sharan was named the Big Sky Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for the third time this season, it was announced today. 

The senior helped the Hornets to a second-place finish at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational at Ka'anapali Golf Resort in Maui over Mar. 24-26. At the tournament, Sharan totaled 69-70-73-212 to tie for sixth place and lead the team.

Through eight tournaments this season, Sharan is averaging 71.50 strokes per round which is on pace to set the school single-season record. She has been under par in 10 of her 12 rounds during the spring and is 19-under par during that stretch.

Sacramento State will next compete at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic in Maricpoa, Ariz., on Apr. 3.
