WOLCOTT, Colo. — Caitlin Maurice produced her second under-par round in as many days and is tied for the individual lead following the second round of the Golfweek Red Sky Classic on Tuesday. The Hornets were 1-over par as a team during the day and are in second place.

Maurice, who tied the school record with a 65 in the first round, was 2-under par on Tuesday and is tied with Eastern Michigan's Savanna de Bock at 9-under heading into the final round. Maurice played the front nine at 1-under par with birdies on the par-3 third and sixth holes along with a bogey on the par-5 fifth (her first bogey in two days). She moved to 3-under following birdies on Nos. 11 and 12 but had a double bogey on the par-4 14th. Following three pars, she birdied the par-5 18th to closer her round.

Sneha Sharan and freshman
Darla May Dela Torre each shot even-par rounds of 72 in the second round. Sharan is tied for 35th place through two rounds and had two bogeys on the front nine and two birdies on the back side of the course. Dela Torre is tied for 26th place in her first collegiate tournament. She had birdies on the par-4 fourth and par-5 fifth to stand at 2-under at the midway point of her round. A birdie on the par-4 11th took her to three over before she had bogeys on Nos. 12, 14 and 17.

Ella Kraft completed the team score with a 75 and is tied for 17th overall. Kraft had a birdie on No. 2 and bogeys on Nos. 1 and 5 to get to 1-over through nine holes. She started the back nine with a bogey and also had one on No. 16 to go with seven pars.

Tova Hatton, who is playing as an individual shot 71 and is tied for 19th place overall. Hatton was even on the front side of the course with a birdie and a bogey. Hatton had birdies on Nos. 12 and 18 to accompany a bogey on the par-4 14th.

Sacramento State is five strokes back of Kansas for the top spot in the team standings. The Jayhawks were an incredible 11-under as a team in the second round and now stand at 11-under for the tournament. Pepperdine (6-under), Denver (2-under) and Boise State (1-under) are the only other schools in the 16-team field that are under par.
