SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Following a rare week off during the outdoor season, the Sacramento State sprinters, jumpers and throwers will return to action at the historic Mt. SAC Relays on Friday and Saturday in Walnut, Calif. The majority of the team's entries will compete on Friday in the national meet which attracts some of the top collegiate competitors.
The Hornets will be represented by 15 women and 12 men over the two days. The group last competed at the Sacramento State Invitational on Apr. 6. Last weekend, Sacramento State sent its distance runners and multi athletes to the Bryan Clay Invitational.
Following this weekend's meet, the team will return home to take on UC Davis in the annual Causeway Classic dual meet on Apr. 26. From there, Sacramento State will head to Bozeman, Mont., for the Big Sky Outdoor Championships on May 8-11.
Heading into the Mt. SAC Relays, the Hornets own 29 marks which rank among the top eight in the Big Sky Conference this season:
