FRESNO, Calif. — Sneha Sharan shot 71 in the final round and Jennifer Koga tied for eighth place overall to help Sacramento State to a fourth-place showing at the Fresno State Classic on Tuesday at Copper River Country Club.

The Hornets were 3-over par as a team during the final round and concluded the tournament at 300-289-292-881. Colorado State won the tournament at 3-over par (867) and was followed by Cal Poly (871) and Pepperdine (878) in the top three.

After concluding the final two holes of the second round, Sharan began her third round on the 11th hole with a par. Her lone bogey of the round came on the par-4 13th and she stood at 1-over until a birdie on the par-4 18th returned her to even. Following three pars, she birdied the par-5 fourth and then closed with six pars.

Koga and Ella Kraft each shot 73 to rank second on the team in the round. Koga was 3-over at the midway point of the round with three bogeys on the back nine. After making the turn, she parred Nos. 1-3 and then ran off three consecutive birdies on Nos. 4-6. Following two pars, she ended the round with a bogey on the par-4 ninth. Koga's tie for eighth was her eighth career top-10 showing and 25 top-25 finish of her career — giving her sole possession of the school record in both categories.

Kraft also started on the 10th hole and had an up-and-down start with three birdies and four bogeys over her first nine holes. Once on the front side of the course, she recorded nine pars. Kraft tied for 22nd overall with rounds of 74-74-73-221.

Freshman Florencia Dufey provided the final score toward the team total with a 75. Dufey opened play with a birdie on the par-4 12th but that was immediately followed by a bogey the next hole. She remained even at the midway point of the round with a birdie on No. 16 and a bogey on No. 1. Dufey had six pars and three bogeys over her final nine holes.

The tournament was won by Colorado State's Andrea Bergsdottir who totaled 69-75-68-212 to finish at 4-under par.

Sacramento State will next compete at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic on Apr. 4-5 in Maricopa, Ariz.
