FARMINGTON, Utah — After securing her first career collegiate victory at the Causeway Invitational at Del Paso Country Club, Sacramento State's
Sneha Sharan has been named Big Sky Conference Women's Golfer of the Week.
Sharan finished the tournament at 1-over par with rounds of 71-75-71-217. She finished tied for first with Nevada's Leah John but was awarded the medalist honor based on her third-round score. Sharan was extremely consistent in the tournament, finishing with nine birdies and 36 pars over her 54 holes. Her total score was the second lowest of her career.
The Hornets also won the Causeway Invitational as a team, shooting just 14-over as a team.
This is Sharan's second individual weekly honor of the season so far after sharing one with teammate
Ella Kraft earlier in the campaign.
Sacramento State will return to action next Monday, March 4, for the first day of the Juli Inkster Invitational at the Meadow Club in Fairfax, Calif.
