EUGENE, Ore. — Molly Latincsics and Ryan Martin had the fastest times for the Sacramento State women's and men's cross country teams, respectively, at the Bill Dellinger Invitational on Friday.

The meet began with the men's 8K race where Martin completed the 8K course in 25:30.8 to finish in 93rd place. The Hornet men were 14th in the team standings.

Sacramento State also counted times from Aiden Maddison (100th, 25:45.2), Jake Slade (103rd, 25:51.9), Brandon Moreno (112th, 26:05.0) and Paden Collrad (123rd, 26:42.9).

Latincsics paced the Hornet women for the second time this season in as many meet. The sophomore ran 20:51.8 over the 6K course to finish in 26th place. Latincsics had a great finish to race, gaining seven places from the last check to the completion of the race.

Dani Geen was second on the team in 22:00.5 to place 79th. Tia Oliver (92nd, 22:16.6), Kaleena Narus (94th, 22:18.1) and Sophia Dudley (106th, 22:37.3) completed the scorers for the team.

Cal Poly edged Oregon to win the men's team title. The Mustangs totaled 41 points while the Ducks finished with 58. The Hornets finished in 13th place. Cal Poly's Davis Bove was the individual winner in 23:40.1.

BYU captured the women's team title with 42 points. The Cougars were followed by Oregon (78) and Cal Poly (122) in the top three. Oregon State's Kayle Mitchell finished first in the women's race in 19:37.2.

Sacramento State will next compete at the Pacific Invitational on Friday, Sept. 29, in Stockton, Calif.
