SACRAMENTO -- The Sacramento State men's tennis team, and four of its players, earned academic accolades from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).
As a team, the Hornets earned the ITA All-Academic Team award, available to any program that posted a team grade point average of 3.20 or better during the 2022-23 academic year. The Hornets posted a 3.39 GPA, and were recently named Sacramento State's Men's Academic Team of the Year for the sixth time in the last seven years.

Michael Gravel, and freshman
Adam Chodur were each named ITA Scholar-Athletes. Maior and Gravel earned the award for the second straight season.
To earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must meet the following criteria: 1.) have a grade point average of at least 3.50 during the academic year, and 2.) be listed on the institutional eligibility form.
Of the 11 players on the team's roster, eight currently have an overall GPA above 3.40.
