UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. — Casey Leebrick concluded the Redhawk Classic with a 1-under round of 70 to lead Sacramento State on Tuesday at Chambers Bay Golf Club. The Hornets tied for 14th place with a team score of 297-301-302-900.

Leebrick had the best finish on the team, tying for 36th place at 75-76-70-221. His third round began with a bogey on Tuesday. He parred his next six holes and then birdied the par-3 third to get back to even. Birdies on the par-4 fifth and par-5 eighth took him to 2-under where he remained until a bogey on the par-4 10th. The senior ended his round with three consecutive pars.

Gabe Smith ranked second on the team in the final round with a 2-over par round of 73. Smith also opened with a bogey on the par-4 16th but dropped below par with birdies on Nos. 1 and 3. He remained at 1-under through 14 holes after a stretch where he birdied Nos. 7 and 11 and bogeyed Nos. 4 and 10. He then bogeyed Nos. 12-14 before closing with a par on No. 15.

The team also counted a 78 from Jeffrey Perry and an 81 from Riley Bell towards its total on Tuesday.

Idaho won the team title and finished 1-over par as a team over the three rounds. The Vandals totaled 853 and were followed by SeattleU and Oregon State who tied for second place at 864. Northern Colorado (865) and Michigan State (866) completed the top five.

Gonzaga's Jace Minni claimed the individual title by four strokes. Minni shot 65 in the final round and had a 54-hole total of 205.

Sacramento State will next compete at the El Macero Classic on Apr. 20-22 and then head to the Big Sky Championships in Scottsdale, Ariz., on Apr. 25-27.
