VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Ashley Koga shot 73 and
Caitlin Maurice posted a round of 75 for the two lowest scores for the Sacramento State women's golf team during the final round of the Evie Odom Invitational on Sunday.
The Hornets shot 306 during the final round and placed 12th out of 15 teams in the tournament. UCF maintained its lead and won the tournament by five strokes after finishing 10-over par. Kent State was second and was trailed by Chattanooga (20-over), Furman (22-over) and Old Dominion (26-over) in the top five.
Ashley Koga, who was competing as an individual, had the lowest score among Hornets for the second time in the three rounds. The freshman had three bogeys and 15 pars in her final round and finished the tournament tied for 40th.
Maurice posted her best round and tied for 76ers 2nd overall. She had four bogeys on the front nine and moved to 6-over after two bogeys on the first four holes of the back nine. She ended the tournament with a birdie on the par-5 18th.
Ella Kraft (73-72-76-221) tied for 34th for the best finish on the team. During the final round, she had two birdies and four bogeys on the front nine to stand at 2-over. She started the back nine with three pars but ended two bogeys and a double bogey on her final six holes.

Ashley Koga.
Jennifer Koga had 15 pars during the third round along with a bogey and three double-bogeys.
Sharan had a tough start to her final round with two bogeys and three double bogeys over her first five holes. She was able to turn her round around by playing her final 13 holes even with a pair of birdies and bogeys to finish with a 78.
Florencia Dufey also posted a 78 on Sunday and tied for 63rd. Dufey had 12 pars, four bogeys and a double bogey.
Sacramento State will complete its fall season on Oct. 23-25 at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational in Kapolei, Hawaii.
