FARMINGTON, Utah — For the second time this fall, Sacramento State's
Jennifer Koga has been named the Big Sky Women's Golfer the Week, it was announced today.
Koga helped guide the Hornets to a tie for fourth place at the Dale McNamara Invitational in Broken Arrow, Okla., on Oct. 10-11. She opened the tournament with rounds of 76 and 75 on Monday and then helped the team surge up the standings with a 4-under par round of 68 on Tuesday. In that round, she had five birdies with just one bogey. The score is tied for her second lowest of her career and is just one stroke off her best.
Through nine rounds this season the Honolulu native is averaging 72.22 strokes per round. She has three rounds of par or better and has finished in the top 15 in two of three events, including a tie for first at the Couer d'Alene Classic to start the season.
Sacramento State will complete the fall portion of its schedule on Oct. 24-26 at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational in Kapolei, Hawaii.
