WOMEN'S TENNIS FALLS TO CAL POLY IN SATURDAY MATCH

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Sacramento State took on the Cal Poly Mustangs on Saturday and came up short against a tough Mustangs team, 7-0.

With the loss, the Hornets remain winless on the season, now 0-6. Cal Poly is still perfect on the year, improving to 4-0. 

The Mustangs claimed the first point of the match on Saturday, taking the doubles point with back-to-back wins at the number two and three doubles position. The top doubles match, which featured Sacramento State's Jayden Nielsen and Megan Tagaloa, went unfinished with the pair trailing 5-3.  

Cal Poly then took each of Saturday's six single matches, including five in straight sets. Sacramento State's Tsveti Yotova won her first set of the afternoon, a hard-earned 7-6 (3) win, but then dropped the next two, 6-1, and 10-7. Hers, the number four singles match, was the last to finish on Saturday. Full results from Saturday's match are below.
