SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The third annual Sacramento State Invitational will take place on Mon.-Tue., March 9-10, at Valley Hi Country Club. The first day will consist of 36 holes beginning with a shot gun start at 8:30 a.m. The third round will start at 7:42 a.m. on Tuesday with teams starting on the first and 10th tees.
Sixteen teams and 20 individuals are set to compete with schools coming from California, Utah, Arizona, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Texas and Washington.
Northern Colorado, which captured last year's team title, returns in an attempt to defend its crown. The Bears finished at 2-over par last year and were led by Ben Krueger who was a co-medalist after finishing 4-under.
Sacramento State will have all seven of its golfers competing. The Hornets' team lineup will consist of Aaron Beverly, Taylor Knoll, Luke Kristo, Robert Parden and Riley Hayfield. Cody Bates and Zach Liberatore will compete as individuals.
