SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Due to rains that hit the Sacramento area overnight and are expected to last throughout the day, all four Big Sky Conference Tennis Tournament quarterfinal matches have been moved indoors today.
Two quarterfinal men's matches, and two quarterfinal women's matches will now be played at the Spare Time Indoor Tennis Center in Gold River. Originally, both women's quarterfinal matches would have been played at 10 a.m., and both men's matches at 2 p.m. at the Gold River Racquet Club.
Instead, today's quarterfinal matches will be played over a scattered schedule that will look like this:
WOMEN
9 a.m. — No. 3 Sacramento State vs. No. 6 Northern Colorado
12 p.m. — No. 4 Portland State vs. No. 5 Montana State
MEN
3 p.m. — No. 3 Northern Arizona vs. No. 6 Northern Colorado
6 p.m. — No. 4 Montana State vs. No. 5 Sacramento State
The next two days of the tournament will be played as originally scheduled at the Gold River Racquet Club. On Saturday, both women's semifinal matches will take place at 10 a.m., and both men's semifinal matches will begin at 2 p.m. On Sunday, the women's championship match will be played at 10 a.m., and the men's title match will begin at 2 p.m.
The winner of the Big Sky Tournament receives an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.
