SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Continuing a run that has seen the Sacramento State women's tennis team honored in 14 of the last 16 years, the Hornets have been named an All-Academic Team by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association once again, while seven individual student-athletes were honored as Division I scholars for the 2025-26 school year, the organization announced Monday.

To be honored as an All-Academic Team, programs must have a combined grade point average of 3.2 or better, while individuals must post a GPA of at least 3.5 for the academic year. All told, a total of 1,501 Division I women's student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes and 231 women's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.

This year's list of honorees on the women's side includes seniors Lou Baudouin and Palina Saulevich, juniors Irene Riva and Elena Mercioiu, and freshmen Cami Maldonado Gutierrez, Lisann Brinkmann, and Isabella Temenugov.

Baudouin picked up her fourth career honor, while Mercioiu and Rive each earned their third. Saulevich also became a four-time honoree — two with Sacramento State following the two she earned at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi — while Maldonado Gutierrez, Brinkmann, and Temenugov were honored for the first time.
