SOPHOMORE (2024-25): Helped Sacramento State to its second-straight Big Sky Conference Tournament title and a runner-up finish during the regular season… Missed the first seven matches of the spring season due to injury before making her debut against nationally ranked Cal Poly… Opened the season with a 10-0 record before falling in straight sets at Northern Arizona for her only singles loss of the spring… Finished the year 13-1 overall in singles and 6-1 in Big Sky Conference play… Was a perfect 10-0 at the No. 6 spot in the lineup, while ending the year 3-1 at No. 5… Posted three match-clinching victories in singles with wins over Idaho State, nationally ranked Long Beach State, and Causeway rival UC Davis… In doubles play, finished 8-5 overall and 3-1 in league play… Finished 5-3 at the No. 1 spot in the lineup and 3-2 at No. 2… Was tied for the team lead with five doubles point clinching victories along with teammate Maddy Ferreros against Santa Clara, Montana, UC Davis, and both Idaho and Northern Arizona in the Big Sky Tournament… In the fall, finished 2-3 in singles, including a pair of wins at the ITA Northwest Regionals, and 5-5 in doubles… Joined Ferreros to reach the Round of 16 at the ITA Regionals… Reached the semifinals of the ITA Conference Masters tournament, finishing fourth and just one win shy of qualifying for the NCAA Individual Championships.
FRESHMAN (2023-24): Helped Sacramento State to its first Big Sky Conference regular season and tournament titles since 2012… Ended the year with a team-best 20-3 overall record in singles play, including a team-best 7-1 mark against Big Sky opponents… Became the first Hornet to win 20 matches in a single season since Clarisse Baca finished 20-7 in 2010-11… Played anywhere from the No. 3 and No. 6 positions in the lineup… Spent most of the year as the Hornets’ No. 5 player, ending the year with a 12-1 record… The 12 wins are the second-most at the No. 5 spot in the lineup behind only Amanda Sanches’ 14-2 record in 2001-02... Ended the year on a four-match winning streak… Won 11 straight singles matches from Feb. 2 to March 19, opening her career with a 12-1 record… Was a perfect 3-0 in the Big Sky Tournament in singles, winning all three in straight sets... Finished with a team-high five wins in three-set matches, ending the year with a 5-1 mark... Was a combined 17-8 in doubles play, including a 5-2 mark in conference play… Spent most of the year at the No. 2 spot in the lineup along with Maddy Ferreros, posting a 16-4 overall record and a 7-3 record in their final 10 matches… Posted a seven-match winning streak from Feb. 10 to March 11 alongside Ferreros and Lou Baudouin, then won five straight after a loss to Weber State along with Ferreros... The 17 doubles wins at the No. 2 spot in the lineup ranks third on the school's single-season list... The 16 wins by the duo are tied for seventh in a single season by a pair... Riva's 37 combined singles and doubles victories ranked tied for ninth on the school's single-season list.
PRIOR TO SACRAMENTO STATE
Was runner-up at a J5 International Tennis Federation Junior tournament in Cueno, Italy, and reached the semifinals at another J5 ITF Junior event in Livorno, Italy... She also posted wins in tournaments at the Open F. Tennis Club Borgotrebbia, Open F. Tennis Club Albinea, Open F. Pro Parma Sport Center... Has also had the opportunity to compete in a pair of W15 ITF World Tennis Tour tournaments in Padova, Italy, and Antalya, Turkey, while awarded a wild card entry into a W25 ITF Tournament in Trieste, Italy, back in September of 2022.
