TRACK & FIELD SWEEPS UC DAVIS FOR SIXTH-STRAIGHT YEAR

Hornets outlast Aggies in annual dual meet

DAVIS, Calif. — It didn't come easy, but the streak will continue for the Sacramento State track and field teams as the Hornet men and women defeated UC Davis on Friday in the annual Causeway Classic Dual. The Sacramento State women rallied late to claim a 101-97 victory over the Aggies while the men won 97-79.

The Hornets combined to win 22 individual events and record four school top 10 marks during the meet. With the victories, Sacramento State has now swept the team titles in the last six years of the Causeway Classic Dual.

The Hornets will have one more weekend before the Big Sky Outdoor Championships. The team will split its squad between the Fresno State Invitational and Torrin Lawrence Memorial (Georgia).
