FARMINGTON, Utah — Sacramento State senior Ella Kraft was named the Big Sky Women's Golfer of the Week, it was announced today. Kraft led the Hornets and tied for sixth place at the San Diego State Classic earlier this week. The honor is the third of her career.
 
Kraft played a key role in helping the Hornets finish in fourth place in the 12-team tournament at The Heights CC. Sacramento State earned a win over No. 43 Oregon State as well as the host Aztecs during the competition. Kraft shot 70-73-72-215 to finish at 1-under par. During the week, she moved into third place in program history with 41 career rounds at or below par and is now just two rounds shy of the career record. Kraft tied for third in the tournament with 37 pars over her three rounds. She also averaged 3.93 on the par-4s and finished at 2-under on those holes.
 
The Hornets will return to action at the Causeway Invitational at Del Paso CC on Feb. 23-24.
