BEACH VOLLEYBALL SIGNS TEXAS A&M CORPUS CHRISTI TRANSFER SZONJA STOLLAR

SACRAMENTO -- Sacramento State head beach volleyball coach Angela Lewis announced today that Texas A&M Corpus Christi transfer Szonja Stollar has signed to play for the Hornets.

Stollar is the Hornets' second beach signee of the 2026 recruiting class.

• A 5-foot-9 native of Budapest, Hungary
• Will be a senior for the Hornets when the spring season begins
• Spent the 2025 beach season at Texas A&M Corpus Christi
• Played her freshman and sophomore (2023, 2024) beach seasons at Park University in Parkville, Mo.
• Spent two seasons with the Park indoor squad, redshirting in 2022, and playing in 2023
• A first team all-conference selection both beach seasons at Park
• Also earned Central States Conference Pair of the Year accolades in 2024 while helping Park to a final national ranking of fourth (top ranking in program history)
• Her two-year combined record for the Pirates was 23-8
• Played for the Hungarian National Team in each of her age groups from U13 to U21
• In 2018, she played for the Hungarian National Team (indoor) at the European Championships
• Member of the U21 national championship winning Ujpest squad
• Also won U17 and U19 national championships with Bekescsabai RSE
• U15 and U17 team captain and National Finals MVP
• Sister, Fanny Stollar, is a professional tennis player who is ranked 42nd in the world in the WTA doubles rankings
