GRANT CLAIMS SECOND TEAM ALL-AMERICA ACCOLADES AT NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS

Senior ties for 16th in men's high jump

EUGENE, Ore. — Miles Grant concluded his decorated Sacramento State career by earning second team All-America honors on Friday at the NCAA Div. I Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Oregon.

The event opened with a height of 6-10.75 in the opening round where Grant cleared on his first attempt. The bar was then raised to 7-00.50 but the senior was unable to have a successful attempt on his three tries. Grant's performance left him tied for 16th out of the 24 competitors in the men's high jump at the NCAA Championships.

He concludes the season having won the Big Sky Conference indoor and outdoor titles in the event and recording the best high jump by a Hornet in over 40 years. Grant is the first Sacramento State male to earn first or second team All-American since Darius Armstead in the triple jump in 2018.
