AUSTIN, Texas — Five Sacramento State track and field student-athletes competed at the history Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays presented by Truist over the last four days.
 
Breija Stredic was the first Hornet to participate as she ran the 400-hurdles on Thursday afternoon. Stredic ran 1:00.37 to finish in 24^th place.
 
On Friday, Tamia Ramos placed second in the "B" section of the women's long jump. Ramos had a best of 19-00.75 (5.81m) which came on her third jump of the day. She finished just one centimeter shy of Lamar's Kayli Johnson who won the event. Ramos has now jumped at least 19-feet in her last two meets.
 
Jessi Barry cleared 5-06.00 (1.68m) to finish in eight place in the women's "B" high jump. Barry needed two attempts at the opening bar of 5-04.25 and three tries at 5-06.00 before moving to 5-08.00. They were one of seven athletes to finish with a best of 5-06.00 in the section.
 
Ava Fitzgerald capped the day by running 13.50 in the women's 100-hurdles. Fitzgerald finished in 10^th place, leaving her .13 seconds shy of advancing to the event finals. Her time set a PR and moved her into third place in the Sacramento State record book. Fitzgerald is now only shy of Nancy Searcy (13.37, 2007) and Natalie Day (13.45, 1985) in school history.
 
Miles Grant capped the weekend by tying for sixth place at in the men's "A" high jump. Grant cleared 6-09.00 on his first jump of the day but was unable to get a clearance at 6-11.00.
 
Sacramento State will split the squad next weekend with the distance runners competing at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic in San Francisco and the rest of the team heading to the Stanford Invitational.
