Box Score POCATELLO, Idaho -- Playing its second indoor match in the last three days, Sacramento State fell on the road at Idaho State, 7-0, on Sunday morning at Reed Gym.
The Bengals (6-6, 2-1) improved to 4-0 at home this season, and have now outscored the opposition, 28-3, on their home courts. Sacramento State, which fell at Weber State on Friday, sees its record drop to 4-6 and 1-2 in Big Sky Conference play.
Idaho State won at Nos. 1 and 2 doubles to earn the doubles point. The Bengals won each of the six singles matches, although three of those were decided in three sets (including a pair of super tiebreakers).
Like every match this season, the Hornets used four freshmen and a sophomore in the singles lineups. Freshmen
Gur Libal (No. 2),
Martin Duris (No. 5) and
David Dai (No. 6) each fell in three sets.
Sacramento State will now get some home cooking as the team will play six straight matches at home from March 5-20. That begins on Wednesday vs. Hawaii at 1 p.m., followed by the Golden State Invitational (co-hosted with UC Davis) on Friday-Saturday.
